alright i have a modded xbox and it works fine. i installed a modchip and a bigger hdd and i can run emulators and my own games and that have been backed up to the hdd instead of the actual disk. i have a ps2 also but it is unmodded. i want to make it so i can save games to it like i did with my xbox. ive been looking around and i found several different types of modding but i cant figure out what is the best way to do it. also i know putting a bigger hdd in my ps2 would be different than what i did with my xbox, because the xbox has a hdd and the ps2 doesnt have one, or not that i am aware of, because you need a memory card to save anything. so does anyone have any suggestions on what i hould do to make my ps2 be able to do the same thing that my xbox does.
What version playstation 2 do you have, i think the DMS4 pro mod chip will be a good idea, or you could always use HDloader depending on what version ps2 you have.
hey i saw the chip and i noticed it was around 60 bucks. i know its probably good but i dont use my ps2 that much and i saw another chip that was around 40 bucks on sale for 20. it was the matrix infinity or whatever. do you think that that chip will do?
Yeh, I heard the matrix infinity's r the best. im getting 1 from an official seller. im getting the b-flex cable too - is that any good? its meant to make installation easier. i have no experience on ps2 modding, although im good at soldering. should i do it myself, or is it too hard. i heard it was easy. the shops all charge £70 and they put in a £5 chip!
It aint too hard, you need steady hands and a fine tip, low watt soldering iron and ur good to go, if u dont have steady hands and not good at soldering, then dont try it, u can kill the ps2. :P
