Hi, I've got a version 5 PS2, to get a picture on my TV, I've always had to wiggle the cable in the AV port at the back of the PS2, a pain maybe, but not a real problem.
However, now I get no Signal.
I turn on my PS2 and no Picture or Sound on the TV.

The TV does flick over to the AV Channel on turning the PS2 on, so I assume there is some sort of a signal there that the TV picks up.

If I put a Game in the PS2, it fires up the DVD and keeps spinning as if its working, but I just cant see anything.

I've tried a different Cable with no joy.

Has anybody else had similar problems?
Dont want to bin PS2 if a simple fix.

hi try using the scart ones cuz i hjad the other type and didn work got a scart one and worked fine (ony the picture my ps2 still cant play game! urghh)

I have tried both the scart and three plug leads, but still no joy!
I did used to work, just stopped recently

if ur tv has a scan for channels in the menu do that, i had to do it once when i hooked every elecronic thing in my room up to each other.

Its the SCART AV input, so cant scan.
Also I've tried it on 3 different TV's.

Sounds like a problem with the PS2's A/V out port.

That's what I figure too!. But I'm certainly no expert.
Are they repairable/replaceable or am I best buying a new PS2??
