im using dvd identifier and have a couple of questions how can i tell which is the good media from the bad media? what is the media type id and what number should it be too be a good media? thanks ppl!

Forget that guide. That is nearly useless information and full of mistakes. To tell good media from bad media requires equipment that costs thousands of dollars. Hearsay, personal experiences, and biases do not determine quality; calibrated measurements do.

Members of this forum recommend Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim discs because they are good quality, consistent, and highly compatible with almost every drive made. Measurements proof it. Members' experiences confirm it.
