So when I go buy my 360 I want to get one with a Samsungs drive? And how do you know if your pc will work with the drive? And if I get it at bestbuy do they check to see if the case has been opened before I take it back? Thanks

well there isn't really anyway of checking is it has a samsung or not before you buy it,i was lucky enough to get a samsung...opening the box without atleast ripping open the top...goodluck...lol...
the drive will connecft to ur pc,providing it has sata connectors on te motherboard,if you bought ur pc within the last three years or so it should have them, but it's best to look at the motherboard manual...

I've never heard of one store removing the faceplate to check when taking back a 360. To be even safer I'd get it at Target. They seem to be the most lax store when checking returns.

Well I guess I'll just get it at best buy and they prob. won't check. Even though it prob. won't brake anyway. So what about the 360drives.com
Is that site still accurate?

Yes... 360drives.com is good.
Although, Samsung use to be the drive of choice, now with the new firmware out for the Hitachi, I'd say that both drives are a-horse-apiece.

im not advertising for Wal mart or anything, but why would you go to best buy so you can get their two year extened warrenty that they always blab about and annoy the hell outta me... dont you know its a total scam????
you can return anythinhg back to store within 30days, in this case a 360 can be returned in 30days with no deductable.
if your 360 didnt break in 30 days its very unliky it will malfuction in its limetime
those warrenty's= scam?
and what do they charge you? like extra $100?

the warranty is just for peace of mind. $50 a year is a lot better than several hundred if your box goes belly up.

Yuup! The only thing I don't like about it is, you don't really wanna mod it when you have that beast warrenty, so I might not get a warrenty.
