flashing my xecuter 3 chip????

After I have my mod chip installed (I have an xecuter 3 ce with the adapter), I know I need to flash it. I know I flash it with the X3 3249, but it's in .rar Do i have to extract all the files to a new file on my computer and then burn it to a blank dvd? Does AID v3.04 flash my chip or does that just put a dashboard, etc onto the xbox. (sorry i've been reading up on this stuff forever and the more i read the more i get confused, and i just want to make sure im doing it right) thanks in advance!

Click my name on the left and go to my links sections download the 3294 Bios extract it and burn the image using Nero DVD or CD...set your switches on your X3 to
1-on
2-on
3-off
4-off
then put the DVD/CD what ever your burned the bios to and flash the bios.....i would recommend downloading AID 3.0 to install the Dashboard...and i would Recommend unleashx and installing it to E...

okay cool man! Yeah I actually already burned the 3294 bios using Nero...we'll have to see if it works lol. i guess my first statement was very misleading b/c i dont have the chip installed yet, it will come in the mail tomorrow. so ill have that installed assuming everything goes well. Now I have the AID 3.04. Will that be cool, or do you still reccomend the 3.0? and once i put that disc in, i assume everything is pretty self explanatory...well thats what im assuming from what i've read, but i'm probably wrong. thanks for all the help! i really do appreciate it!
