hi guys i went to back up my 360 last night and when i opend it up i found out i had a samsung drive instead of a hiatchi drive as the guide i has showed that the coulor of my drive was the same as hiatchis so right now im really confused as i dont understand any thing on this so if some 1 could point me to a good guide and help me sort out the mkflasher.exe and that would be great and if any 1 could point me in the right direction for the best fw on this drive as i did get the new 3 version but in a it had files missing and all that pluss do u no were i can get a power cable from for my dvd drive as i noticed that 1 of the cables was snaped in the conectore and was only pushed in plus i got a a sata card with the the chip set VIA VT6421L but when i go into my bios to change the setings it dosent show my sata card it says sata 1 enable or disable

you need the auto flasher v3
*****ONLY USE IF YOU HAVE ORIGINAL SAMSUNG FIRMWARE MS25********
This tool makes a bootable USB key including all the files needed to backup, flash and recover
your Samsung Xbox360 Firmware, all in one simple automatic process!
**Updated from v2 to work with C4E's newest v3.0 FW**
Installation:
1. - Extract the archive to your hard drive
2.- Insert your USB Stick
3. - Format your USB Stick with the HP Usb Disk Storage Format Tool included (HPUSBFW.EXE), select FAT32 and "Create a DOS Startup Disk" using the files included in the folder. Check the Pictures folder for visual assistance!
4. - Copy the contents of the archive to the root directory of your USB Stick (if space is a issue, or you are using a floppy, simply copy the autoexec.bat and firmware + command folders over. If you know which card you have, you may copy only the neccessary folder within the firmware folder, e.g. Via or Nforce4.)
5. -Run Bios Agent to find your chipset (see pictures folder)
6. - Adjust Your BIOS Settings to boot from the USB Stick
7. - Boot to your USB Stick
8. - run autoexec.bat to start.
Sidenote - Those of you who wish to utilize these tools on a floppy may skip all the instructions, and just copy over the neccessary autoexec.bat, command folder, and needed firmware folder over.
PS- Incase anyone is wondering why we re-invented the wheel...again (x2), the kdx dos based key patcher has proven to be very unreliable and the TS Auto Flasher v2 was out of date. The patcher included is based on the xtreme_legal_patcher. It patches the firmware to the newest c4e v3 hack, without messing with any of the key's. No more botched firmwares and headache's for those of you trying to figure out 'what went wrong'
Thanks to Flash78 for the previous tool! Translated by geebee.
C4E v3 patcher is based upon xtreme_legal_patcher sources, thanks to JbOnE for the previous
TS_Auto_Flasher_v1.1 compiling for DOS Thanks to geebee for the previous organization and .bat
work.

you will need to make a seperate partition on your harddrive (fat32) and copy the mtkflash.exe and mtkflash.typ to the dir. you wil then need to make a boot cd, so you can navigate to those locations, and use the mtkflash.exe r /sata /m orig.bin and the mtkflash.exe w /sata /m xtreme.bin commands...

download pargon partition manager, and split your current harddrive, you can split it into 1 gig for the (fat 32 section) and the rest can start your hardrive..
what you need to do is click on your harddrive and say resize... then you need to put 1 gig BEFORE partition.. Then click on the 1 gig empty space you'll see in the coloured bar, and say format. then format it as a fat32... now apply changes.. let windows do its thing, may take 30 min... then load into windows, put the mtkflash.exe and mtkflash.typ into the new fat32 partition, make sure its an edited mtkflash.... and then you'll be all set to put your boot disk in, navigate to the fat32 hard drive, and run mtkflash.

Trust me, the floppy is the best way to flash the Samsung. At least it was when I flashed mine a month ago. I bought a new floppy drive for less than $10. It's worth it.
