Hello All,
I plan to buy a PS3 when it comes out (the $599 one). I own this sony lcd based projection tv (42inch) with hd (420p and 1080i, not 1080p)and hdmi connections, etc. I am wondering if there would be any problems with graphics, display, or anything that the "projection" would intefere with. It is not a true LCD based tv so that is why i am concerned.
Also, do you all know if I need to buy my own hdmi cable or will sony include one with the ps3? On this note, I see some hdmi cables for $100+ and other for $30 !! What is the differance, other than price??
Hey ole buddy ole PAL! Throw one in for ya boy here eh? LOL
Ok seriously though you should have no graphical problems it will just be displayed in 1080i that's all.No biggie.
1080p is a great bonus for games but means nothing for movies. However most hdtv's cannot display 1080p so your no different from almost anybody else.Whether its an lcd or not makes no difference, lcd's are the "new" thing but it's mostly because they are thin(flat panel). Before you think about an hdmi cable first make sure your tv has hdmi.
Don't buy a $100 cable LOL the $30 one will do fine trust me.What you don't want is the 4 dollar ones found on ebay LOL.
