Hi, using Windows Movie MAker 2.1 and the Sony DCR-SR100 exports in Mepeg -2 files. How can I convert to DV-AVI to inport into this WMM Program so as to edit and ect? Any ideas on this at all? WMM does`nt accept this file[MEPEG-2]. Thank You, BIG AL PS, Sony has HDD instead of Mini dvd tape.

You can use VirtualDub-MPEG. Although this guide was written for editing DVD footage, you can also use it for your purpose:
