Need help copying and burning Xbox 360 games

i came across this page:

this method seems much easier, and doesn't make me have to open the samsung drive xbox 360 to change the firmware everytime i want to copy a game.
also it does not mention anything about the security sectors or the use of SSmerger. will the backups still work? is SSmerger not essential for the back-ups to work?
please help me asap and tell me if this will work. i have limited disks to try this so want to get it done correctly.

yeap that will work thats teh wxripper method, but you will still need to get the ss some other way, so its not a full solution

so the benifits of ripping the game using ur xbox 360 drive is that you do not need to patch it with ss merger? so thats the only difference? right?

Youll still need to patch it.The only way to get the security sector yourself is to have the game in the 360 drive and connected to the computer then Run DVDinfoPro then Enter the following four custom cdb commands:
AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 01 C0
AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 03 C0
AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 05 C0
AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 07 C0
Then save the hexadecimal display as bin file as SS.bin
It also only works with the samsung for now and it must be flashed with the xteme0800 or i think the newer firmware releases allow you to not have to flash back and forth.

i see, well that explains what i needed to know, thanks alot 'Dfram'
oh ye, once i extract the game (using the external dvd burner) when do i inject it with the security patch. i already have a security patch which i got from another website.
it doesn't say on the guide that i need to do, but as some people said i have to, so when exactly do i do this and how?

You have to insert the ss before you burn it to a DVD+R DL. For that you need to use SS Merger.

I tried doing this and after I got my drive apart and i put the disc in it would not spin the disc. I don't know what I did other than push the eject button and seconds later it sucked the tray back in and spun out of control burning my drive apart. After picking the drive up I noticed that chips were pouring out. I thought "Christmas already?" but then I just threw the cheap drive out.

i just eject it pushing the pin hole. but first i need to install the new v3 firmware. any help where i can get it? or wot i need on my floppy to flash my xbox?

ok i have now a file called:
fifa 06 road to fifa world cup (6.80gb)
and ss.bin.
i want to burn this using clone cd.
i have a DVD+R DL VERBATIM DISK, and NEC DVD+R DL writer.
how do i change the booktype settings? and finally how do i burn?
now, i'm stuck, i would appreciate if u could tell me wot to do. otherwise i'm sitting here waiting......plz help
