ok so i bought a modded xbox from a kid who lives like an hour from me, i know the xbox works and it plays burnt games, when it boots up, shows blue xbox logo, and goes to evoX dashboard... when i try to go on xbox live it doesnt let me, and it says check cables, but it shows the cables are connected... i have my modem plugged into my router and my pc is too, i can get internet here and can FTP to my xbox... but i cant get on xbox live, i dont know if it is the modchip stopping me? or if it is my router... i have port forwarding on my router turned on and stuff, but yeah, i think it might just be the modchip not allowing xbox live connection... any tips? anything would be appreciated... PS - i know how to use FTP and such, i put xsnes9x on there and dvd2xbox myself, so FTP is ez. and i figured out how to backup games myself. Thanks again, mike
how do you disable the modchip? i have no idea what chip it is... nor do i know how to check it, i bought it from the kid and he told me that he put a bigger HDD and a modchip in it, i tested it, it worked so i bought it :P haha
