Hi To all,

I have PS2 50001 and suddendly stops to read my dvd's games well. I was palying a backup game when suddendly the screen freeze and stop to reading, i turn off the console but cant read again, then i turn off my ps2 and leave it for few hours and try it again and loads the game very fast and read well but just for a few minutes and then stop to read, So if i wanna play i need to turn off for coupple hours and then play but just for a minutes. I measure the coils from laser and its ok (4.9 to 5.0) so you think if can be the LA6508 or something else?

Please Advice....

maybe, but i check the fan and its working well, you know the failure is weird seems the LA6508 almost die or something like that.

If the LA was dead, it wouldnt work at all, would it? Does it freeze in the same spot during the game? Maybe a bad burn or something.

I'm testing with a original game in good conditions and doesn't freeze in the same spot i guess maybe the LA almost dead so when takes a high temperature fail, but you know only i'm guessing just i wanna know if somebody had the same issue or have any idea what happend with my ps2.
