I need help. I went to Germany and purchased Eyes Wide Shut. It is a region 2 DVD I want to rip it to my HDD and then recreate it as a region 1 DVD. Then back it up so I can play it on my home DVD player.

Anyone able to help.

Any Decryption program (i.e. DVD Decrypter) will remove the region coding when it rips the DVD to your HDD.

You can then use DVD2One to re-encode it so it fits on one DVD.

DVD Shrink will do the whole lot for you...

thats correct!!!
the are a number of programs you can use to rip the required DVD film to your HDD
such as
DVD decrypter
SmartRipper 2.41
#1 DVD Ripper 1.2.03
Real Clone DVD 1.65
Clone DVD 1.2
Chopper XP (DVD ripper) 2.5.1
Amigo DVD Ripper 2.6
IphotoDVD 0.91
Ace DVD Ripper 2.1
once u have used any of the above listed programs the film will be entirely ripped on your HDD without any region restrictions (this would have been accomplished by the program)
this is them free at your disposal
you can do wat u want to the VOB,IFO,BUP files
make a backup, edit the choice is yours
