HP DVD+R DL 640C Drive

I have seen other drives discussed when burning image files for the XBox 360, but does anyone know if this drive (HP DVD+R DL 640C) will work? I have updated the firmware for this drive, and I have the latest version of CloneCD. The disc seems to burn correctly for the most part, and I will even get the message asking to only use the disc in the XBox 360 in order for it to work if it is in my PC.

My 360 has been modded, and I have used games that were copied by someone else already. I am using Verbatim DL Discs (exact from the working copies), but will get a read error when I try to load my burned copy. The image file that I have tried to burn has been verified to work, so something must be wrong on my end.

Can anyone help me out? I am hoping to not have to go out and buy a pioneer burner or something else along those lines.
