Trying to get MC exploit to work but only get white screen

Can anyone give me some suggestions or tips on what im doing wrong? Im trying to do the memory card exploit here but everytime when I load up the ps1 trigger disc on the playstation2 I just get a white screen and it just says there like that. Nothing else would load at all, any help please :(

If you're using the Independence Compiler then I think I know your problem as I had got this before.
Inside the Independence Compiler did you tell it to auto boot to HDLoader and get rid of ULaunchELF?
That's what happened to me, just add HDLoader to it but still have the compiler boot to ULaunchELF, then from ULaunchELF you can load HDLoader.
Another plus about ULaunchELF is it also means that you can load the new HDLoaders as they come out by pen drive.

Thing is I have two ps2, a normal fat one with a chip and a newer slim one without a chip. Im wanting the hdd for the newer slim one and therefore it will only work with usbadvance/extreme. Is this still ok?

You can't do a memory card exploit on the slim PStwo, Sony got wise to it and removed that capability.

Yeah but the thing is im using a external hdd, is it ok if I use usb extreme instead of hd loader?

I picked up a second PS2 off of ebay that didnt read DVD's. Came with a NA. I got it for $19. It is now my traveling PS2, and it has a 160gig drive in it. Reads PS1 discs fine, so I didnt care about not reading PS2 discs. I transfer all my games via Winhiip or hdl_dump/dumb. Cant go wrong for 20 bucks. So my advice? Pick up a DRE PS2 off of ebay. As long as it can read PS1 games, you are good to go.
