cloning harddrive to resolve an issue

well in my previous post i stated that... i am modding a second xbox, but there are issues... loading apps. so here is what has happened
1. hard mod xecuter 2.6 / 400gb seagate hdd
2> cromwell is fine , flash mod chip w/ bios 3935
>3. slayers AIDv2.6 format and upgrade and install apps on HDD
>>>>4. WT??? now i go to load DVD2XBOX and a NO GO...
5. ok i have a working XBOX w/ similar specs vs. 250gb WD HDD
so i can FTP in and clone my C:\ drive to make it work right? nope
ok i will FTP my Z,X,Y,C,and F:\apps .....all into the proper locations fire it up and give it a shot... well what the heck? so when i go to load the apps ie.( avalaunch, DVD2XBOX, or any other the slayer loading screen appears and well it just hangs there, but what baffles me is that this is a virtual clone of my upgraded HDD, vice the Games on it, so where might i be going wrong? i have tried toggling the TSR, and the IGR, i have looked at the .ini files, but still i am at a loss.... so any help would be great.
i am willing to try whatever you all have to offer

the newest bios for the X2 is the 5035 that might be the problem...

hmm... well its worth a try but the question is why does the 3935 work on my first one and not on the second? is it b/c its on the chip and i flashed the bios wrong... but if that is the case, then why does evox load perfectly?? this is quite perplexing. so i must learn how to reflash the mod chip... this i have yet to do. is this possible with the slayers disc?

i dont know if the slayers disc can do it but i know the AID 3.0 disc has it on there.....i have a 2.6 so let me get this straight the 3935 bios is on bank 1 and the flashbios cromwell is still on bank 2 correct....what version xbox is this?

ok dude the cromwell was intact and flashed the chip w/ the 5035bios
worked like a charm.
where can i find a bios updating tut ... to upgrade my orig bios ?

the original bios on what?if you dont have the cromwell bios anymore you will need the X2 programmer....

but i thought that you can flash the bios with a boot disc tool. ie.( slayers AID, or what yyou said AID 3.0? )
can you clarify ?
and where is the X2 programmer, from Divineo?
or isn't there a way to FTP the bios flash ?

on the X 2.6 is the cromwell flash bios on either bank?

unfortunately both of my bios banks are flashed w/ the 3935 on my first xbox . but i think i may want to upgrade them, for s&G. and you seem very knowledgableso figured i would pick your brain on this one.
and thanks again for your input, but i think i needc more indepth tutorial if you find a link before i do that would be very much appreciated.

yea you will have to buy the X2 programmer which lets you tap right into the chip's banks to put the cromwell back on one of them to reflash.....thats the only thing with the X2 you should always leave the cromwell on one bank....
