Hello guys,

I'm trying to create SVCD from AVI and then burn on CD-R using NERO, but for some reason it doesn't work. Of course the goal is to playback the movie on home DVD players.

OK, here is what I did:
- I downloaded a movie with filesize 920MB and extension .AVI;
- I used VirtualDub 1.5.3 to split the file in two portions approximately 460MB each;
- Now I used TMPGEnc 2.512.52... to convert the AVIs into SVCDs.
- This has produced two files, each approx. 740MB with extension .MPG;
- Here I used NERO 5.5.10.28 to burn the .MPG files to CD-R according to the AfterDawn guide;
- The burn process seems to end successfully at 4x speed;

And here comes the problem:
When I insert the CD-R I just created with NERO into my DVD player on the pc, nothing happens at all. I tried to use both Windows XP Media Player and the DVD playback software that came with my ATI graphics card to playback, but the drive spins for eternal....

There are 4 directories on the CD-R. These are: EXT, MPEG2, SEGMENT and SVCD
In the MPEG2 folder there is a file called AVSEQ01.MPG. I've tried to playback that file as well with above mentioned software, but here again unsuccessfully. In fact, I don't have a home DVD player where to test the CDs, but shouldn't they playback on a PC as well? Just want to avoid giving out some CDs that don't work.

Anybody knows what the solution to my problem could be?
