I have a computer (go figure..). Anyway, I downloaded all the stuff that Afterdawn had to remove as of January 1, 2006 so I'd have them. I saved the install files to a folder on my computer. I'm looking at the possibility of buying a new computer and want to transfer the programs over to my new unit. Can I simply use windows explorer to copy the folder to a CD and then copy from the CD to the HD of the new computer, then run the install programs on the new computer. I've never used a recordable CD before, so I'm not sure what is needed.

They are just data files, so all you need to do is drag and drop them onto the CD in My Computer. Or if you have Nero just open that up and make a data CD. I back up my files to CD/DVD all the time. Use the DVD for MP3 since they hold 4g. I have used the CD's of my programs to restore many a time. I now got an external HDD so that works out better, but if you have flash drives you can also store your programs on those too.
