Is OPPO Dvd Player The Best......

Hi,

I have a new Panasonic 26LE60 HD LCD TV. I'm looking at dvd players for
upconverting. Is the OPPO OPDV971H the best (non HD, Blue-Ray) dvd
player. It has all positive reviews on Amazon.

One more quick newbie question. My TV is 16x9 but when I watch dvds
the black bars are still there. I can get rid of them by adjusting
aspect ratio or zoom, but I do loose some of the picture. If I had a
HD Dvd or Blue-Ray dvd player would I still have the same problems.
