how come some of my back-up copies have very wide borders at the top and bottom of the screen and others are smaller. it said in one of the guides in tmpegnc /other settings/ to use 16:9 display and full screen ratio 2. can i change this after the copy is made. and are the settings different for every movie.

movies have different aspect ratios, so some movies are even wider than normal widescreen. its probably just how the movie is, not settings in TMPGEnc.

Some movies are filmed in 18:9 display, so it all depends. SOmetimes your TV may be able to alter the picture for you.
