I don't know why people have a problem period! I used a 10 year old HP with only it's origonal cd-drive and it worked fine. I mean this thing was old. had only 32mb ram, 422 mhrz old as shit Etherlink card the works! Upgrading was easy even with that!

Yeah a lot of people seem to experience problems with the drive not reading it properly. I think most people assume that just any brand of cd or dvd will do the job at whatever burn rate. DEAD WRONG! Most PC's only like certain media types and they should always burn it at the lowest possible speed. Thats what works for me. There is one Problem and the solution i would like to talk about. Some people experience a problem with the locking of HDD's. This problem can be remedied easily. To further explain.....some PC's have a BIOS setup that doesn't enable locking of HDD's. This occurs when the PC boots, the BIOS disable security locking for some reason. To compensate, when you load linux on cd or dvd, connect the HDD after the menus load up. The PC can't disable HDD locking if there is no HDD during boot. I tried it and it worked believe it or not. This came froma friend of mine who had this problem, and it works. Both of us tested it! SWEET!
