I have a ps2 slim model

Was about to install the tape mod, but it looks like the power ribbon were removed from the powerswitch itself,is there any way to repair it?

the ribbon is still attached to the bottom of the console btw, i'm not sure if its possible to connect it back onto the tray(on/off swicth)

Yes you can put it back on, just plug it back into the socket.

its already placed in the socket(i think), its the metal/chip thing that got ripped off with the ribbon still connected to it

Ohhh, if they socket has ripped of, you can try to solder it back if the solder pads are still on the pcb, otherwise if they have come off, you will have to purchase another power button pcb to replace the damaged one.
