Unlocked my harddrive which killed my soft mod, now what?

Hey,

I have a softmodded Xbox and just got a new HD TV and wanted to change my avalaunch settings to use the hi-def settitng. Every time I tried to change it there was an error message saying that I couldn't do it cause my harddrive was locked.

So... I unlocked my harddrive (Yes my judgment WAS impared)

Well now I get an error message. I have my C drive backup on my PC AND I have a screenshot of my HD settings and codes. Can I put the harddrive into my pc an lock it again?

What other options do I have?

You can use xboxhdm to lock it again since you have the EEPROM.

If you can't find the EEPROM, you won't be able to lock it with xboxhdm, or at least not with the right one anyway.

In the off chance that you can't find it, then your best bet is to just install a mod chip and lock the hard drive using your Xbox motherboard.

Oh, and the EEPROM is also known as the hard drive password.

cool, i think I can do it then.

I guess there is no way i can do lock my harddrive using my xbox, is there? Could I create a xbox boot disk?
