I believe there is a forum strictly for psp discussion. You would probably have better luck there. :)

OK sunnyun, You must have bought your PSP and dont know what Firmware is ? Ok its the software Version in your PSP. You can find out by :

GO to "settings"
GO to " system settings "
GO to " System information "

There youll find out what firmware you have.

Hi Sunnyun i also had some problem in connectivity but now its working fine so here is some advice before you buy anything to get online on psp.

First of all there are 2 ways to connect psp Ad hoc and infrastructure mode.
So do not do the mistake i did and that was to think that all i need to install is a wireless lan card and make a adhoc connection with psp.
Ad Hoc connection only connects directly to a PSP . So Ad Hoc mode is only possible with a PSP to PSP connection.

If you dont want to keep a password etc leave all enteries blank just keep pressing > button. So when you search you will get a wireless connection available after scanning. Just select and you are ready to surf. And it is quiet cool. the analog stick acts as a good mouse. just text entering is a little bit difficult
