hi there please is there anyone out there that knows of a program that can either convert a dual layer dvd into 2 single layer dvds thanks alot.

320gb hard drive
17" medion tft
psp giga pack

none of these explain how to compress the dual dvd so it will fit onto a single dvd?

the dvd is of a series and contains 24 episodes not just one single film im ripping it right now with DVD Decrypter hope this works

no it didnt work when i rip it with the DVD Decrypter it rips everything into a fold and its 8gb i want something that wil compress it into 4.7 g.b so it wil fit on a normal dvd thanks for helping everyone

Programs that will compress that episodic DVD to fit a DVD-5
DVDShrink
CloneDVD
DVD-Rebuilder
DVD95Copy
There are more but you can start w/ the above. The best there is DVD-RB and there is a free version.
You have to rip the files to the HD first then use the programs.

The DVD Shrink link LOCOENG posted is a great guide,
I think It might even be easier with an disc of episodes than a single movie, because when you reauthor it should show all 24 episodes, so choose the first 12 for one disc and the others for the other.
So in short,
1. get the whole movie on your hard drive a way that was given
2. open shrink, find the original file
3. reauthor using guides given

What do you not understand or where are you having a problem?
Are you wanting the Disk on 1 or 2 DVD's as you have stated both?
Are you sure you have a DVD burner and not a cd burner/DVD-Rom?
