after alot of thinking i went with the 360.not bad i really need a new tv though.it surprised me on how loud it is.a couple questions though,.
1)should i get one of them coolers?its got plent of breathing room but i want to be safe.
2)i like how i can hook up my ipod but its only 1 g,i was thinking of putting all them on my hard drive with maybe a little more.would 2 g of songs be to much?would i miss that space on m drive or does it matter on how much other things i have.i don't plan on downloading anything from live.maybe i'll pick up a memory card in case.
thanks for the replies and after i get it broke in before i void my warranty i'll be back with the firmware questions.i don't want to open it now.

1. I got the intercooler and would suggest getting it. Even if your console is in the open you cant really beat the $20 price tag. It can only help you.

2. 2 GB of songs is not that much, but it just depends on how much gaming you are going to do. I think when you get the hard drive there is 13 or so GB free. Most likely plenty of room. And if not you can always delete the songs later.

I would say get one. And as far as it being loud and what not.... u dont even notice it once you get into playing the game.

there is a way to hack them onto you're computer,i'll look for that to see if it helps.

you can only play them from the ipod through the 360, not hack them onto the 360.

I think you have to rip the straight from cd's onto the 360. Maybe there is another way. I dunno.

yep, you are right.screw that.i'll just keep plugging the ole i-pod in.so that means its not in mp3 form and would take up alot of space any way, correct?

$8? is it a 360 one or more of a universal? either way looks like i might head there monday. another thing i just noticed and never seen before,i was in the middle of the movie silent hill and took it out to play madden.put it back in and it started at the same place i left off.

Yup. Thats a nice feature with the 360 DVD player. you can disable that if you want. And the intercooler I go from Offic Max for 8 bucks is because they were have a colsing sale.
