I was just wondering, I have a broken Xbox 360 and if I trade it to EB games and they find out that it freezes after like 5 mins of play will they call back and ask me to come pick it up and want the store credti back or will they fix it themselves or do they even care? I am just trying to come up with different options to hopefully not be out the full $575 that the Xbox cost me. I will get $300 bucks at EB which beats having a paperweight. Can anyone fill me in?

One day when I turned it on it just froze after about 5-10 minutes of playing and hasn't stopped yet. When I was trading it in he tested it but didnt notice the freezing. I am just wondering if they do notice it will they call me or just forget about it?

I'm pretty sure they won't call you back. However, instead of trying to get over on EBgames and messing it up for the person who buys your 360, why don't you sell it on ebay?

Yeah, I should've thought of that. But who would willingly buy a broken Xbox 360?

well, if he wanted to be slightly moral the eb games store guarantees there system so the person wouldn't be screwed.Ideally he sell it broken on ebay but the new owner just bring it back in to eb and get another. No harm no foul.

Yours at least kind of works. I sold a bricked 360, console only for $152.50. I bought a replacement console only for about $40 more.

My brick 360 that I sold.

EB games gets screwed all the time. So whats one more person screwen them eh? Just take it to EB games. Is this the same XBOX that Microsoft said they would send you a box within 2 days, and you call every 2 days until after 2 weeks they tell you your warenty is up?

Yeah its the same one. You see, My brother had an Xbox 360 too but for some reason he is selling it for the Wii :/ So instead of him selling it for $400 I gave him my broken Xbox to trade to EB games and he got $300 for it and I gave him an extra $100 so he got his $400 and I took his newer Xbox with no bugs. So it worked out good for both of us because I saved $57 [$100 instead of paying the $157 Microsoft Service Charge to get them to fix my broken Xbox 360, Plus the box which was supposed to arrive in 2 days has taken over a month now] and get a newer Xbox 360 hopefully with no bugs an he got his $400 to put towards the Wii. The reason I was hoping they wouldnt call so much is because if they did call and not except it then then whole idea would be down the drain.

No, but I am thinking about investing into an extended one. Is it too late to buy one or do you have to buy it before the original warranty ends or can you buy it anytime?

EBgames and Gamestop give 30 days from the purchase to get an extended warranty.

Damn, So you're saying it is too late for me to get it then? I guess I will have to hope for the best then. Why is it u[ tp EB games or gamestop to give the warranty and not Microsoft?

since it's a retailer honored warrenty.

the M$ warrenty you have 90 days to purchase an extended (so before your original warrenty is up) that doesn't apply to used units from eb games or gamestop or babbages.
