Dest DVD-R's for burning with DVD+RW

looking to make a list of DVD-R media that works with DVD+RW drives.

SONY DVD+RW (works great in PC, but can't play in home DVD or PS2)
GQ DVD-R General use (no media error)

note: using nero burner

DVD-R and DVD+RW are two totally, absolutely different things, it's like trying to burn vinyls with CDRW writer.
