Is there anyway you can update a ps2? When i play DVDs that i have burned they are laggy and choppy. They play fine on my home dvd player. Can anyone help?

what kind of dics should i use? I dont understand why they play fine in a DVD player but they dont in a PS2

different lasers. Memorex -r discs are some of the worst discs you can use. I would get some verbatim, sony, or TY discs.
