MS dash network problem (interrestingly differant)

Ok,this is the problem-:
I installed my softmod a while ago, and when I tried to either go in to the network settings via MS dash it kicked me back to evox, this I lived with till out of complete madness I thought "Wonder what would happen if I restore MS dash to the back up made before I softmodded it?" so, thats what I did.

It worked great! MS dash was back to normal, so I crossed my fingers and selected the "Settings" and then on the "Network" settings, It was fine, no freezing, to reboot of xbox, all good ^_^

so, incase I F.U.B.A.R. durring the softmod process, I re-did it using the same Linux-Installer for splinter cell, and WHAM! network problem is back again!

Any ideas?

I boot to evox (latest on xbins) n get to it from there

do you have the dual-boot option?? why do you need to mess with the ms-dash settings in the first place?

ok, it's a duel boot (evox=draw closed and softmod-draw open)

my other half has PSO online and it needs a network to connect to it before it boots to it's main menu, plus i bought her a years subscription to ms live about two months before softmodding the xbox

PSO reports "A network configuration preform could not be completed"

Try searching around for a file that lodges a "fake gamertag" to select before booting to the main menu. my network wasnt configured, but when i used the fake gamertag method it booted fine. i eventually fixed the problem, but this could work for now, and its as simple as placeing a few files in the savegame directory! happy modding
