As you can tell i am only new to this scene, and i just cant seem to connect my xbox to my pc. have read tutorials featured on this website but still cant connect. I am making sure the addresses are same in both systems but when i attempt to FlashFXP the connection just times out. I enter the addresses on the xbox then reboot. Then i go into control panel,network settings,LAN connection, properties,ICP/TP protocol, properties and then enter the addresses. I am using the xbox 360 crossover cable on a normal xbox, could this be why? Probably sound stupid but i really need to be walked thru on this one
please consider helping

go to start-control panel-network and internet connections-create home network on your pc and follow the wizard then follow this guide...to turn ICS on

hopefully that will fix the problem.

on another note are your sure that cable your using is a cross-over cable?meaning is it a system-link cable?
