just search online. www.mod-chip.com has pics that tell you where to solder the wire.
also, remember to get a laser fix so you wont burn out your lens

you have to keep going, take out the laser, and all the metal covering, the motherboard is under all the metal, that is where you need to solder the chip

i would suggest a 15wat soldering tool, but if you have a six watt it should be good enough. if it can melt the solder then more power to you. when you take apart the cover, there is one screw under the laser, be careful when you take the laser out cus the cabel is taped to the metal casing. i didnt use a solder gun, i used the long stick one? dont know what its called. but i think gun should be alright.
if not, just go to radioshack and buy a 15 watt soldering tool its like $7

i took out the four screws around the laser and the one under, but the metal casing looks like in is being held down by little gold ribbits. what other screws do i need to remove to get to the whole motherboard

flip the whole thing over, there are like 4 more screws underneath, it is another metal plate, by flipping the whole thing over i mean that you should have both covers off of the metal caseing, ie the black faceplates. the bottom faceplate must come off too

Also, be sure to disconnect all cables. If you plan to strip it down to the MB only, don't forget the battery and cooling fan power wires...both are taped down.
Match up your board with one of the install pics and you should be good to go...
Oh yeah, the correct term for the soldering "tool", is soldering iron. 15 Watt are ok, but you want the solder to flow quickly as to prevent overheating of close components....I go with a 25 Watt iron for fast solder flow. Use a little flux at each solder point for optimal flow and fast connection. I would suggest No-Clean solder and flux as it leaves very little or no residue.
