Ok so Ive read the ps2 manual and forums and have tried everything, but it is not working. I just bought my ps2 like last week used, it didnt have a password but the level was set to 1, upon inserting disc and before playing it says temp change to level 3 but asks me to make a pw, so I make one and it works. However, the damn setup menu doesnt let me go into the parental setting, I can highlight it but If I press x or any other button it wont engage it, so now Im stuck with having to enter the code everytime.
I have a v10 ps2 btw if that helps.

which version ps2? either way, doesn't really matter, cuz that's a fat ps2, so enter 7444 when it asks for the code.

that is the Factory Over-Ride pass, so use that, and then change the level.

otherwise it sounds like the ps2 bios is screwy?

are you needing the parental control? if not, i think u can disable it.

no, I can get to the setup functions but then when I go to parental settings it wont let me change it, I highlight it and press x and it doesnt go into its functions. So basically, the first time I started a dvd it asked to make a pw so I made one, but it didnt let me change the level or anything, just make and confirm so I did. 7444 doesnt do nothing in this menu, so everytime I watch a dvd I have to put in the code I made. Also, when I go into settings, it will not let me change any of the parantel settings for some reason, I think the bios is screwed?
I have a v10 if you read the first post.
^^^ yes I want to disable it, but the damn thing wont even let me go into its settings so how is it possible to change the settings other than pressing select, then settings,then parantel because it wont let me go into the parentel that way, is there another way around this?
