vob read error at xxxxxxxx while ripping

As I am trying to rip a dvd it gets to the vob4 or 5 file and I get vob read error at xxxxxxxx while ripping. I use dvd2svcd.. ..I thought the dvd was bad and returned it.. Got another and tried to rip it and again vob read error at xxxxxxxx while ripping...

So I got pissed and tossed a different dvd in the drive and ripped it fine..

Later went back and tried the dvd that was Pissing me off and it ripped fine..

ANY ideas why I get vob read error at xxxxxxxx while ripping ???

Is it a dirty dvd-rom drive or is the copy protection of the dvd geting in the way??Also does dvd2svdc copy copy protected dvds??

Try smart ripper to rip, if that doesnt work check the disk!
