What is the meaning of different audio channels?
AC3 6-ch English?
AC3 2-ch English?
DTS 6-ch English?

I realize the language part of it- May question stems from my need to "re-author"
few movies and wanting to take out un-needed audio but don't know which to exclude.

Another question-
If I shrink movie to highest compression and it is still above target DVD size - can I re-shrink the movie to get it under DVD-5 and is the overall quality decent enough? Any thoughts??

AC3-6ch is the Dolby Digital multi-channel sound track

AC3-2ch is the Dobly Digital stereo soundtrack

DTS-6ch is the DTS multi-channel sound track

I usally prefer the DTS sound track over the AC3 (Dolby Digital) sound track, because I think it usally sounds better. However, the bandwidth for DTS (and thus the size) is much higher than for the AC3-6ch soundtrack.

If you dont use 6 channel systems you can take it out and save yourself over half a GB. Otherwise, leave the 2 ch stereo out. You will not notice a significant difference using the 6 ch on a stereo system. I tried it and seems fine!
