ive done quite a few mods before but i have never seen this problem. im putting an xecuter 2.6 in a v1.0 via wires install. all connections seem like they are good, the chip and switches all light up when turned on, but the xbox boots up normally, as if there were no chip installed. this is the first time i have ever done a wire install and i cant figure out whats going on. is there just a bad connection or is the chip bad or what? any ideas? thanks guys

alright, ive come to the conclusion that its a faulty chip. i had an xecuter 3 laying around that i didnt want to use because i lost the external switches for it, but i popped that on and the flash bios screen came up. which brings me to my next question, can i flash it with the same bios ive been using to do 2.6's? i forget what bios it is because i didnt write in on the cd lol, its evox something
