Hi, after a few problem that solved after I visited here at AFTERDAWN I decided to ask for help one more time:
I had a few problems with the computer which were solved with: SmitfraudFix, ATF-Cleaner, Ewido and more.
Now I cant hear any windows sounds like: START WINDOWS or EXIT WINDOWS or any other error in windows. I have a sound card on board with the best fit driver. and I can hear music and watch movies with sound with no problem, but any other pop-ups with sound or trailers that wathced directly from EXPLORER with no help from WMP, That I cant hear.
If someone will find the time to help me I'll be happy, thanks..!

Go to Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds. Browse through Program events and make sure sounds are set to events such as Windows Logon and Logoff.
Let me how that works out.

thanks man.
I already did it: All my sounds are in place, but the strnge thing is that I can't even press the "PLAY" button to hear the sound, it's gray and not black...
Again - Winamp and WMP and some other programs play sound for me..
Do you have other suggestions??

Is the drop-down menu or the Browse button grey also?
Just a thought, in the Sounds tab, check, maybe even set to default, the Sound scheme.

You said this happened after ridding infections, correct? What infections did you have?
Also, try reseting the scheme to default, if you haven't done so already.

Yes, I want that for you also. Tell me, what infections did you have? Sounds like some sound files got corupted while cleaning. You may have to repair windows with the recovery disc.

I had the w32.myzor.fk@yf virus...
I cleaned it with severel programs:
ATF-Cleaner
Ewido
SmitfraudFix
and all the regular ones:
NAV
AD-AWARE
NOADAWARE
Do you think is because of it?
P.S.
If I'm repairing the windows, Am I coming back to stage 1 of installing all my drivers and more..?

No, you won't be at square 1. Repair will only install the corrupt of missing files.
I'm thinking repair would be best. Do not reinstall! When you are asked to repair by pressing R, do so.
Let me know how it goes.
