i have just bought a xbox360 i have taken the case off it has a samsung drive the firmware is ms28 whats the best hack to use for this drive? i have already tried the extreme package,made a floppy disk and booted from it after i write the mtkflash r backup.bin and choose ide sec master (do not know if that is right i have plug a sata cable into the motherboard which is intel 2570 rev 2i think)nothing happens? please help

it sounds like you haven't eneabled the SATA on your mobo(just change the settings in your bios). because if you are choosing IDE SEC, that is not your sata controller. i have an intel chipset as well and i choose ich5 mas. and to right the firmware to your actually drive you type mtkflash w /m backup.bin(where backup.bin is the name of your bin file), and from what i hear the samsung drive you are using you will have to use extreme 3.2, and also there is a special technique you have to use to flash those drives because that is microsoft way of trying to kill the firmware hack, it could be found in some previous threads. hope this helps
