problem ripping DVD movie using guide -- NEED HELP!

I am trying to rip my very first dvd movies using the guide located at :

but I get to the part to where I have already spend over 10 hours processing this thing and now it is telling me to open the modifed program and go to the audio menu to add in the audio -- BUT THERE IS NO AUDIO MENU in the modifed program !!!!


HELP.... All I want to do is copy a movie to my hard drive and maybe burn it to CD-r... I cant believe that I have to do all this for over 10 hours just to copy a silly movie... I have a 2 gighrtz machine !!!!

trekker9, you say you just want to "rip" the film, is so which program are you using? With a 2 ghz machine and a program like DVD Decrypter you should be able to do it in 20 min or so. Now to get it to a CD-R is a bit more involved, Gordian knot can help you along that way if you want. Depends on what your goal is.

My main goal is to get the movie to my harddrive in a watchable fashion....my second goal is to get it to cd-r

Any ripper (ie: DVD Decrypter / Smartripper) will rip/unencrypt the DVD...making it region free in the process.
Then you'll want to visit VCD / SVCD Forum for the next part of the procedure no doubt.
