I was going thru some of my old discs that i put data on over a year to 2 yrs ago(pics & videos)..and was disappointed with the Fuji(made in Japan) and the maxell (RitekG05's)..some of them would not load everything ...however i put a sony disc in that i put data on about a year ago and it fired right up and loaded everything ...just something to think about..i have since switched to only buying Sony media DVD+R which is Made in Tawian.

The Japanese made Fujis back then, were Taiyo Yudens. So, you're saying that the Taiyos are bad?
Hopefully they weren't the 4x speed sony, LOL. My coaster percentage dropped drastically after ditching 4x speed media.
The 8x and 16x sony media is very good.Japanese and taiwanese. I've been getting some terrible scans with 16x TDK cmags and 16x fuji prodisc, but MCC-004,SonyD21,Sony Ty-g03,Ritek-p16,and Ricohjpn-r03 are all very good.
@Saugmon ..that benq kicks ass..lol...i'm buying only dvd+r's booktyping to dvd-rom which play flawlessly.Saugmon i've been having problems with UPS losing stuff i ordered from Supermedia..have you had any problems with them..here's a link to a thread i did on it...
@JVC.. The Fuji's were the famous TYG02's but like i said they are no good for keeping that kinda data i gues because as far as re-ripping a movie from 1 to my hard drive is no problem at all...go figure.I have switched to only Sony media.

They've never lost anything of mine, they just send everything back to the regional distributor. Fed Ex is the same way. They'll knock on your door very lightly, wait a second or 2,leave a note saying you were'nt there and gone! I wander if DHL is the same way?
That's why I get most of my media locally. Except for shiny inkjet printables. Can't find any of those locally.
