Well just encode the movies with anything i guess, TMPGEnc, will allow you to select source range and select and individual scene and encode it! So perhaps frameserving DVD2AVI to TMPGEnc will work. Check out the VCD guides where it will show you how to frameserve. Instead of using a VCD template though, you could click file - project wizard. And when you see an other settings button, click it, click the advanced tab and you will see the source range option, select it and double click it, then select the first scene you want.
When you have encoded all the scenes you want you can merge them all into one file with TMPGEnc. click file - mpeg tools. Click the merge & cut tab!
I am trying the same thing as BlankFrnk but I feel like the advice from Dela is a little too advanced for me. Is there a workflow or guyide that go through the process and describes the various utilities/applications you need to do this.
I'm a little disappointed. Is there no way this can be done without changing formats? I don't want to lose quality by going to mpg. I want to do a compilation also and now that I got a dvd burner, I thought I can do this like I do with copying different music from different cd's. Something like the best of the best of's. If you know what I mean.
Ok, after my post, I read some more. I'm now re-corrected when I say all/most original dvd's are encoded in mpg-1, mpg-2?
If that's the case, then there is no lose of quality if I followed the previous posted steps?
