i did not get that far with the program..as i do not have any dl disks
from my cloneCD post.
Since the release of 5.0, CloneCD is not only able to copy CDs but also all DVD formats, such as DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R Dual Layer and DVD-RAM. The movies are copied 1:1 and therefore not modified (compressed). Note that to copy movie DVDs you also require AnyDVD.

@aabbccdd
Couldn't you do the 1.1 with Clone now, you have the option of ripping in iso mode, and if you set it to DVD9 it will rip everything uncompressed and then you can do a dl with the iso file in whatever program you want.

It has taken years to phase out VHS, which is still being produced. I still think we will be having these discussions for quite awhile yet. They can't even get dual layer media down to a reasonable price, 3.00 USD a disk is still too expensive.

VHS was introduced in 1976 and DVD around 1996/1997. Blue Ray is being released this year which is only 10 years after the original DVD.
And with the Internet these days and sites like our very own Afterdawn offering the lastest technology news the change may happen sooner than you think.

At that rate then it will take 10 more years to phase out DVD's since it has taken 20 years for VHS. Seems it goes in 10 year cycles.

They'll still support DVD for 4 or 5 years. Blu-ray technology will be expensive and unreliable when it comes out. The PS3 will put a Blu-ray player in a lot of homes. Once the players come down in price and by the time second gen of Blu-ray burners comes around, DVD enthusiaists may be tempted to buy them. In the end Blu-ray burners, media, and players probably will be about the same price as DVD accesories nowadays. Yes Lethal they're times I want to give up in the PS2 forums. Lately the kiddies seem to want to tell me I'm wrong every chance they get. I've passed up a lot of oppurtunities to flame them. The only time I get a little pissed is when they start lecturing about piracy and values, then I tell them what they can do with themself. Any of you guys use DVD Region Free+CSS Free for backing up movies? I use it with Nero Recode, works great. One other question if you select high quality encoding in Nero, how long does the process take?

Well I guess Girls Gone Wild is right up your alley. Drunken college women flashing, and best of all, no fatties. That's what the creator of GGW says, not me. Btw, Futurama is funny, I love the satire of robots running on Alcohol, that's truly genius.

Went out with a girl from a teacher training college a few years back, the thing is, is that 95% of the students were girls.
Heaven, sweet heaven!
Bender is the greatest cartoon character ever. Matt Groening is a genius. It's a shame that Fox do not appreciate it. They only keep The Simpsons as it is so popular with the masses (rightly so). Futurama only appealed to a certain type of person. Intelligent!

Agreed. Yeah I went to the university of South Florida for two semesters, good lord! You didn't need Girls Gone Wild, GGW was right on campus. There were so many fine females it was ridiculous. Unfortunately I was still in my Alky phase, so it didn't do me any good. Not that I'm sober, there's no women around! Oh cruel fate lol. Nah there's a decent amount of women at Florida Atlantic University, I'm just picky. Some guys are still turned on by a woman with a brain. I guess I'm in the minority there. A little junk in the trunk doesn't hurt either. Just ask my baby Mya. Cheers!

Personality & intelligence are important to me. I enjoy good conversation. The 2 go hand in hand.
As long as she doesn't look like the back end of a bus.
