Hi i've had my slimline ps2 for about a year and a half and i'm having huge problems with it reading.

It is modded with a DMS4 Pro and was working perfectly until a few months ago.

basically i changed the power cable for a spare (figure of 8 style standard power cable) and suddenly i'm not getting any picture on the screen. disk spins but no output whatsover..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently come across a bad audio/video cable. The power light came on but no output to the tv. You can pick up a replacement at pretty much any electronics store for around 10-20 bucks.

If that doesn't work, try opening the case and see if you can see any wires to your chip that have been disturbed. It's possible that one or more came loose from being bumped or falling out of it's position on your entertainment center.....did it have a spill?

The DMS4 Pro is a great chip. I highly doubt it is the chip itself.

If you are uncomfortable taking apart your console, there are many qualified installers you can turn to. Me being one of them.
