Hello, I am looking to purchase a Modchip for my Cube because my little brother has cost me about $100 because of the games I have had to rebuy. (Including a second copy of SSMB, which is going to turn into three if I don't get my Cube chipped soon.)
I was looking for a site to buy a Modchip (Probably the Viper GC Extreme w. USB but I am not sure), and found Divineo.com. They look legit but I know thats not hard to do these days.
Can someone recommend a site to purchase a Modchip from?
Peace,
Pop Smith

OK, I was going though the process at Divineo and it wanted me to do a "Verified by Visa" thing so I just said screw it (I had to get my mom's SSN and stuff, she would have been like "Why don't you just drop it and maybe get one later").
Now it won't let me use her credit card because I cancelled the process at the Verified by Visa screen. I found a different place, Modchip.com, they have the Viper GC Extreme w. USB and a Gamebit for $68.90 with 3-5 day shipping.
Has anyone used them? If so, what did you think of the service? If not, is their anywhere else I can get a Gamebit and Viper GC for less then $70 with shipping?
Thanks!

Hey dude, if your just going to be using your cube for backups, why not just get a XenoGC chip? i got mine plus the gamebit for like 35 bucks and the chip is damn good. Boots everything perfectly and was fairly easy to install. Use some flux when installing any kind of chip though, it makes the installation a whole lot easier. Plus with the Xenogc you don't have to mess with bios disc's. You just install the chip, put your cube back together and put in your game. Hope this helps you out dude!

Well, I don't have a BBA. And from what I have read the only way to copy games without one is the Viper GC.
You also mentioned you own one, just wondering how do you backup your games with this chip?

Well if your planning on backing up your own games then a viper or viper extreme would be the best way. Sorry I didn't pay close attention to the tread, I was just trying to give a little info on the XenoGC chip.

Eh, its all good man. Anyway I guess I will just have to a look around to see if I can get a GC Extreme w. USB and a screwbit shipped under $60 (I hope!!). Although I may go up to $70 if needed.

http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/customer/home.php?cat=195 has alot of chips. This is where i got mine from. 54.99 for viper extreme and 5.99 for the gamebit. If you order from these guys don't get the standard mail, go for the next best one. It took 3 weeks for my chip to come because their in Canada. They're very helpful and they also have live customer support chat which is a +.

If I were you i'd also consider getting a case that can fit full sized DVD's. The Hushtrap case is cheap and it works. Pretty bland looking though.

Actually I looked into that too lol. According to that tutorial you NEED the Max Drive Pro. As far as I know CodeJunkies no longer produces/carries it. I found ONE on eBay but, with shipping its currently $70.
Also, according to brucedlx, you can't get this software in any store so I am out of luck until I get the money for a Modchip it looks like.
