If I buy CA-42 FOR NOKIA can you walk me thru a firmware rest/flash. I have two of these phones I was going to get the cable to update ringtones and wall paper anyway, so this just adds to my intrests in learing more about phones.

I'm sory to say but there are no types of software that will wotk with cables like that for unlocking and flashing. The equipment will run you about $300.00 or better just to unlock 2 phones. If you have 2 that needs to be done, I'm sure if you mention to the person I sent you to, that I sent you, they will work out a better price for you. Tell them I said to go easy on you :)
Maybe you have a local shop in your area that also does this type of work. Call around to local privately owned electronics repair shops and ask. But as for the cable and unlock or flashing, it will never work because nothing has ever been made to do this. It will definately require hardware to be directly connected.
