Hi, I have recently bought an xbox 360 and am trying to backup a few of my games that I bought. I have gotten all of the necessary files that I need and a rather detailed tutorial to assist me with this process. My only problem now is that my computer will not recognize my XBOX 360 dvd drive. I have the console connected to my pc via a 7 pin SATA cable, the exact type that is found in the console itself. I also have the power cord in the console and connected to a wall outlet. I have already flashed the 360 drive with the enable0800.iso file but when I turn on my pc, run windows and open up "my computer", it will not recognize that I have the console connected. It displays my C: drive, my CD-R drive and my DVD-R drive, my folder and my shared documents folder but nothing else!!! No other drives displayed!!! Nada!!! This really drives me crazy because I have been trying to do this for a while now and this is like the last thing that I need to do. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!
The drive in my XBOX360 is a TS-H943 and the enable 0800 file is what you insert into the console before you put in the original game that you want to backup.
the 0800 disc is used so the 360 drive is visible in windows. Even though you put the 0800 disc in first, you still have to flash the drive with the extreme firmware first(with orig.bin injected of course), that is the only way the 0800 disc will work.
i flashed my drive with the xtreme autoflasher firmware four days ago. you only have to flash your console with the firmware once don't you??? Also, do you leave the 0800 disc in the console while you boot up windows or what???
