Hi PS3 works with HDTV which is good.... well if im using a normal T.V with my PS3 will i get big black lines at the top and bottom of the screen? Also even with a HDTV will i get them??

the blacklines that you are talking about will only appear on tvs that aren't widescreen

The 360 lets you choose b/w 4:3 and 16:9 - you should be able to do the same in the PS3.
