Ok, I trying to figure out how to burn a PSX or PS2 game on a CD or DVD so that I can play it on my Playstation 2. I have this program called "Alcohol 120" and I tried to use it to burn a PS2 ISO game which was Capcom Vs. SNK 2. When I loaded up the Alcohol 120 software, I clicked on the Image Burning Wizard tab on the left side of the Alcohol 120 menu. Then when it asked me to browse for what PS2 image I was wanting to burn I loaded up the Capcom Vs. SNK 2 file. Then on the next screen, at the very left bottom, it asked what kind of Datatype it was. I clicked on it and Put it on Playstation 2. Then I also remember hearing somewhere that you have to change the Writing Speed to the lowest speed as possible. After setting those two things up, I clicked on Start and I was ready to Burn.
Now, I used a CD-R by Memorex to see if I could burn it on there. When the burning was finished, I took it out of the computer and put it in my PS2. Then when I waited for the burned CD to load up in the PS2, nothing happened and the screen just told me to "Insert a Playstaion 2 game CD". So of course I did something wrong. So basically I wanna know. Am I using the right program (Alcohol 120) to burn PS2 games? And am I using the right CD to burn it? If anyone knows how to do this please help me out and tell me from scratch how to do this and tell me what I did wrong. Thank you all.
So basically, this link will tell me how to get it modded? Then after I read the instructions I should be able to accomplish this? Or where can I get the PS2 modded? Are there parts I can buy in some stores to do it myself or something? Or do I have to let a professional do it?
Did you click the link and read it?
You have 2 options, get a modchip installed (do it yourself if your very good at soldering, or have a pro do it), or get swap magic discs along with a tool (type of tool depends on if you have a fat or slim ps2).
