i get an error message saying Client Service for Netware has disabled the Welcome Screen and Fast User Switching. To restore these features, you must uninstall Client Service for Netware.

Than i googled this and everyone says to uninstall Netware in Network connections so i look for it and cant find it is it named something else? if so what? or am i trying to going the wrong way about it.
Please can someone help.

Quote modenadude from Windowsitpro.com.

Quote:
Right click "My Network Places" and go to properties to jump into the connections that connect you to the internet.

Even if you may have a wireless connection, Client Services for NetWare is located in the "Local Area Connection" - right click that and go to properties.

If you do not have a "Local Area Connection" installed, try the same procedure on the other connections listed there.

Once in properties, you will see, on the top of the list, or down the list "Client Services for NetWare" or something related to that - be sure that it says "NetWare". Left click on this once, then click the "Uninstall" button just below that list. It will give you a message - then you must restart your computer for the settings to take effect.

Once logged back into your computer (which sounds like it may be difficult for some of you) go straight to "Control Panel" by accessing "My Computer" or "Start", depending on how you configured your computer.

Once there, go to "User Accounts" and click on "Change the way users log on or off". You are now able to access an area that you were prohibited to before when you had Client Services for NetWare installed.

You are now complete - most users will enable the Welcome screen and turn on Fast User Switching - but you can do whatever you please.
Most people say this works, others say it didn't. Browse though the other comments here if it doesn't work for you.

Hey jordan25,

1.If you are using the Novell Client, see the following the Novell support Web site for instructions about how to uninstall the service:

http://support.novell.com ( http://support.novell.com/)

2.If you are using Classic view in Control Panel, double-click Network Connections. If you are using Category view, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

3.Right-click each connection that you have, and then click Properties each time.

4.On the General tab of each Local Area connection, highlight Client Service for Netware, and then click Uninstall.

5.In the Dial-up Connection Properties dialog box, click the Networking tab, highlight Client Service for Netware, and then click Uninstall.

6.Restart the computer.

7.Open Control Panel, and then double-click User Accounts.

8.Under Pick a task..., click Change the way users log on or off.

9.Click to select the logon and logoff options that you want: Use the Welcome Screen or Use Fast User Switching.

Tell me if you get any luck with that method.
