I'm sorry if this question had been asked before:
(You could point me to the link that related to this, too!)

...
If I buy 100 spindles of 50 pk TY DVD today. Will they stay excellently 5 or 10 years from now when I then burn them ?
...

I'm thinking of stocking them whenever there are big sales of good quality DVD around...

Thanks

Dude in ten years you wont even be able to find a blank dvd cause everything will be on some newer better faster media. We are already about to move up to HDDVD or BluRay I wouldnt be stocking up on something you arent going to be using in a few years. You could always sell them on Ebay as an antique someday.

Why would you want to buy 100 spindles of 50 packs? By the time you get to the 2nd or 3rd spindle, the price of DVDs will drop. Unless you use that many in about a 2-3 month span (figure that's how long it takes for prices to drop), you really shouldn't stock up that much on 'em--unless they're rare, like the MIJ Sonys. That's different.

But DVDs that are readily available, like Verb Lightscribes, I stopped stocking up on 'em because the prices are dropping and I still have like 5 spindles left.

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

You're right, Mr Pink ! I 'm talking about MIJ Sony 8X DVD+R which is really hard to find right now.

The main reason I try to stock up those Sony is because my DVD-Recorder (not DVD burner) would only record
reliably on 8X or less (not 16X). So, even if the price on 16X DVD(or 32X, if any, in the future?) drops significantly,
I still have to buy 8X or less !!! (That means those Sony from local stores and/or TY online)

Thanks guys!
