So i just wanted to tell you the hell i went thru to get my first burned xbox360 working.

(this is assuming your xbox360 is already flashed/modded)

So first off, I messed up 3 DVD+R DL before finding out my lite-on dvd burner is a piece of crap, so I went and bought the pioneer 111D online, and then updated the firmware to 1.23.

then I wasted another 2 because I was using clone cd version 5.2.8.1. couldn't figure out why it still didn't work. Upgraded to 5.2.9.1 and it works beautifully now.

so for newbies (which i was yesterday lol), to save you from making coasters from expensive DVD+R DL discs, here is what u need

pioneer 111D with firmware 1.23
verbatim DVD+R dual layer discs
clone cd 5.2.9.1
burn at 2x or 2.4x nothing faster, nothing slower.

play and enjoy.

just wanted to say this is a great forum, and could never have done it without all the great info here. keep up the great job!

with the new birdy flasher u can burn discs that dont need bitsetting...
meaning u didnt need to buy a pioneer

My Lite-On works great for me on a Hitachi and Samsung. It's an older model too, SHW-160P6S. Sorry to hear yours didn't work out for you.
